I’ve been taking time for tea the last month or so, ending with a wonderful extravaganza Mothers Day Tea that my daughter and I whipped up frenziedly and enthusiastically. Normally we go out for a high tea and let it all be served to us.
This year we shared tea with others, and invited mothers and daughters for many treats on tiered trays, traditional sandwiches and varieties of teas in various teapots! We all sat at the table in her home with the lovely French damask tablecloth, chatting and tasting. When the particularly strong teas took their expected effect we were flying with conversation, laughter and high spirits.
This event promised to be our first annual!
